How Indie e-books will Transform the Future of Book Publishing

Every QuokkaPad includes almost instantaneous access to tens of thousands of books. Select those you wish to include in your personal inbuilt library and build your own collection of contemporary and classic editions. Your library(s) may be stored on any combination of SD cards, USB memory modules and QuokkaPads’ internal memory, with a single SD card capable of storing up to half a million books depending on format. ManyBooks – thousands of eBooks all absolutely free.

Like Project Gutenberg but a little bit prettier, ManyBooks has about 26,000 free e-books just waiting to be downloaded. The site started out with e-book versions of Project Gutenberg titles, but has expanded to include many additional public domain and Creative Commons titles from additional sources.

In addition to its inbuilt collections, QuokkaPad enables you to access well over one million e-books and many thousands of audio books from other stores and publishers. The methods used to access these sites vary from site to site as they each adopt their own preferred structures. However, that QuokkaPad enables access in one form or another is testament to its flexibility and open architecture. Included amongst these sites are free travel guides, free technical manuals and dictionaries, free cookbooks plus an enormous range of free and inexpensive contemporary and classic novels.
